Zero Sideslip

One engine out in a light twin, three ways. Hold the wings level and center the ball and you fly the fuselage sideways — a giant airbrake. A few degrees of bank into the good engine streamlines it away. Step through the cases and watch the ball, the airflow, and the drag.

Coordinated Flight Performance

With both engines supplying symmetric power, thrust vectors are perfectly equal. The relative wind hits the nose head-on, producing minimal fuselage drag. The ball stays locked in the center.

Forces are completely balanced. There is no horizontal side-load pushing on the aircraft, so the ball rests perfectly centered in the bracket.
